The Nerdbrarian features news and reviews of speculative fiction, graphic novels, pen-and-paper roleplaying games, and relevant non-fiction books and other media, with the occasional random digression on public librarianship.
About the Nerdbrarians
Brian discovered a love for librarianship after having realized that working the adjunct circuit with a PhD in medieval English wasn’t exactly going to pay the bills. These days, he works in the public library sphere managing a library in the suburban fringe of Spokane. When he’s not working, Brian tends his garden, brews beer, cooks vegan noms, and gathers with friends around the ol’ polyhedral dice to create epic tales of adventure.
Sheri has cobbled together a living based on both her love of words and a refusal to grow up. After stints as a book-and-game-store manager, freelance writer, arts editor, and unrepentant lover of cute hand puppets, she found her calling in the wilds of youth librarianship. She currently selects children’s and YA books for the local county library district and lives in Spokane, where she reads, knits, and geeks out about music, film, and cocktails.
